Concerns about the process
I walked through the cancellation process and have some questions or concerns
- The request is created after the agent submits and without an agent signature (or insured signature). The agent has to download the document to sign it themselves and then forward to the policyholder(s). What about agent signatures and forwarding to the consumer portal?
- When an underwriter rejects a cancellation, they are shown a dropdown list to select the reason for rejection. This only allows one item to be chosen; what if there are multiple reasons?
- Agents do not have the option to non-renew. It should be part of the menu in Equinox and also an option in the Consumer Portal.
The Activity Log has the name of the underwriter so that the agent can see it rather than a more general name like "Underwriting". The UW view should show the name, the agent view should show the department (otherwise agents get vindictive).
